Welcome to this digital course about H5P!

H5P is a plugin for existing publishing systems that enables the system (in this case Moodle) to create interactive content like Interactive Videos, Presentations, Games, Quizzes and more!

In this course you will learn how to design, create, use and publish the different content types that are available in H5P. We will discuss every step from designing to publishing your own interactive content. Other than that we will also make sure the content you create is useful and is in line with the didactics needed for a good blended learning experience. 

We start by asking ourselves some important questions:

• Why do we want to use H5P?
• What goals can I achieve with H5P?
• Which didactic principles do I have to keep in mind when using H5P?
• ...

After that you will learn how to prepare your own content to transform it into a nice H5P module. It can be as easy as editing your course images in PowerPoint!

Finally, the course contains hands-on exercises to create your own H5P modules. This is done by examples and instructional videos for every (useful) content type available in H5P. Every content type has it's own page containing the materials you need to recreate some great H5P exercises. 

After this course you should be able to:

• Invent your own exercises to create them in H5P
• Explain why you would use H5P for a certain type of content
• Connect your use of H5P to the 4 pillars of Blended Learning
• Create your own H5P modules in the content bank of this Moodle website
• Embed H5P content into your own course on the Moodle website
• Prepare your own content for use in H5P modules (via PowerPoint or other image/video-editing software).
• Try out your own H5P modules.
